Two men were arrested in Thirsk last night on suspicion of drug offences.
North Yorkshire Police said officers from the proactive drugs team, Operation Expedite, became concerned about the manner of driving of a car in Long Street at around 9.30pm.
Officers stopped the car at the Tesco store car park where they noticed a strong smell of cannabis coming from the vehicle.
A search of the car resulted in officers seizing a large bag of around 15 smaller bags containing suspected cannabis and another two bags of suspected cannabis from the driver.
The men who are aged in their 30s and local to the area, were both arrested on suspicion of possessing cannabis with intent to supply.
The driver was also arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit through drugs after failing a drug test.
