Firefighters were called out this morning after a car hit a train at a level crossing.
Crews were called out at 4.44am to the incident at the Lodge Lane crossing at Brompton.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said the car had run into the side of the train.
They added: “Crews from Northallerton responded to a report of a car which had hit a train at a level crossing.
“All persons were out of the vehicle on arrival of fire service with no injuries, crews made vehicle safe using small tools.”
A spokesperson for British Transport Police added: “Officers were called to Walkers Level Crossing in Brompton at 4.32am this morning following reports that a train had hit a car.
“Thankfully, the vehicle was only clipped by the train and no one sustained any injuries.
“Enquiries into the circumstances of the incident are ongoing.”
