Police have made an appeal for information after yesterday’s fatal collision in Northallerton.
North Yorkshire Police have confirmed the pedestrian who died in the incident was aged 84 and from Stokesley.
The force has issued an appeal for information following the collision.
It said in a statement: “Can you help our investigation into a fatal collision involving a pedestrian and a lorry in Northallerton?
“It happened on Brompton Road near Kwik Fit in Northallerton at around 12 noon on Friday 4 September and involved a Blue Scania HGV.
“Sadly, the pedestrian, an 84-year-old woman from Stokesley, died in the collision in the incident.”
Police say the driver of the HGV, a man in his 50s from the Catterick area, was uninjured and is now assisting police with their enquiries.
Anyone who witnessed the collision, or who saw the vehicle prior to the collision, is asked to contact police.
