The latest figures show that another 13 people have died with Covid-19 in Hambleton — including six who have died in the district’s care homes.
The data released today by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) shows that 53 people have lost their lives potentially due to the coronavirus in the district.
There have now been 193 confirmed cases of the virus in Hambleton, giving a rate of 211.8 cases per 100,000 people, according to separate Public Health England statistics.
The ONS statistics show that up until May 8:
- 34 people from the district died in hospital with Covid-19
- 16 people have died in a care home
- Two people died at home
- One person died in a hospice
The data includes all deaths, where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate, that occurred up to May 8 but were registered up to May 16.
Of the 53 recorded deaths of Hambleton residents, all occurred after March 15, according to the data.
