Covid-19 testing station returns to Northallerton

Temporary Covid-19 testing stations will operate around North Yorkshire over the next three days, including Northallerton.

As part of the national roll out of the key worker testing for COVID–19, a military run drive-through mobile testing unit will be operating from the car park of Hambleton District Council’s Civic Centre in Northallerton.

Testing stations will also operate in Harrogate, Pickering and Whitby.

  • 4 to 6 May – Harrogate – The Hydro
  • 4 to 6 May – Pickering – Flamingo Land
  • 6 to 8 May – Whitby – Park and Ride site
  • 6 to 8 May – Northallerton – Civic Centre 

The tests are available for eligible key workers who are self-isolating because they are within the first 5 days of displaying symptoms of COVID-19.

The tests are also available for key workers who are self-isolating because someone else in their household is displaying symptoms.

The householder displaying the symptoms can also be tested at the site with the key worker.

The testing sites will also be available for children of key workers, aged between 12 to 18, who are showing symptoms.

These tests will be need to be conducted by the parent (advice will be given at site).

Eligible key workers will need to bring their work ID with them to verify their role and will need to attend in their own household vehicle.

Those arriving without identification will not be able to undergo a test.
