A hospice charity has thanked the public in Hambleton and Richmondshire for their support in 2019 and says it has leped provide support to hundreds of people living with terminal illness and their families.
Herriot Hospice Homecare says it has helped ten per cent more people this year than in 2018.
More than 500 people and their families has received care and support at home, while more than 100 children and adults have received bereavement support.
Tony Collins, chief executive of Herriot Hospice Homecare, said “The reason that we are able to undertake our vital work is due to the incredible support we receive and for this we are truly grateful.

Over 100 people recently supported Herriot Hospice Homecare by dedicating lights on their Christmas tree and paying tribute to loved ones as part of Light up a Life.
These dedications will help to keep hospice care shining brilliantly and ensure that more families receive the support and care when they need it most.
