Phase one of a £704,000 improvement programme for Stokesley Leisure Centre starts this week.
The centre’s gym will be closed for one week from Thursday 12 December, re-opening on Friday 20 December.
This will allow contractors unrestricted access to complete the improvements which includes the installation of a state-of-the-art gym with brand new digital cardiovascular and resistance equipment from leading manufacturer Technogym.
The cycling studio will take delivery of 20 new Technogym group cycling bikes on the 19 December, each with its own individual display to help track your workout.
All of the Technogym equipment will use the Technogym mywellness platform, a fully integrated personal health and fitness system.
Members are being encouraged to register for their free mywellness account online so they are ready to go from the 20 December.
More information is available at Hambleton.gov.uk/zest, via the Zest app or through the centres Facebook page.
Access to all other areas in the centre including the pool, activity room and cycling studio will be unaffected.
Phases 2 and 3 of Stokesley Leisure Centre improvements will consist of enhancements to the reception area and activity room, along with refurbishment of the changing village showers and toilets.
