Man pleads guilty to £442,000 Northallerton jewellery robbery

A man has pleaded guilty to a robbery at a jewellers in Northallerton earlier this year.

38-year-old Victor Okumu, from Lazenby, near Middlesbrough, has pleaded guilty to robbing Bradley’s Jewellers on March 11.

He is due to sentenced at York Crown Court on Friday, August 9.

It comes after a robbery at Bradley’s Jewellers in Barkers Arcade in which goods worth £442,000 was stolen.

Okumu was arrested in Fareham in Hampshire following the incident.

The store was robbed by a man in a boiler suit and crash helmet who stole a large amount of jewellery.

It’s understood a man was injured during the incident.
