Conservatives maintain grip on Hambleton District Councl

The Conservatives have maintained their grip on Hambleton District Council, winning all but four of the available seats.

Two independents were elected, as well as one Labour and one Liberal Democrat candidate.

The Huby was uncontested where Di Watkins, from the Conservatives, stood unopposed.

The turnout was 35 per cent.
