Unwanted bikes are being collected at Bedale Leisure Centre this weekend.
The centre, in Firby Road, is being used as a drop-off point for donations of old and unused bikes.
They are then collected by the Yorkshire Bike Library team for recycling.
The Bike Libraries aim to make cycling more accessible for children across the county and get more people cycling.
Donations can be made on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 April from 9am to 2.30pm and also on Friday, April 12 between 5-8pm.
“With the visit of the Tour de Yorkshire to Bedale now only a month away and the excitement of cycling building, we are delighted to be part of the bike library donation service,” said Louise Lowcock, duty officer at Bedale Leisure Centre.
“We hope we get lots of bikes coming into the centre which can then be passed on to people who haven’t use of one now.”
