Hambleton leisure centres plan half-term swimming fun

Leisure centres across Hambleton are encouraging children to take to the water this half term.

The four district council run centres in Bedale, Northallerton, Stokesley and Thirsk and Sowerby are putting the fun back in to swimming  with each centre  holding a special Under the Sea pool party complete with inflatables,  disco and games.

The parties are taking place at:

Bedale: Tuesday 26 February from 2 – 3pm

Northallerton: Friday 1 March from 5.30 – 7pm

Stokesley: Saturday 2 March from 1.15 – 2.30pm

Thirsk & Sowerby: Saturday 2 March from 1 – 2pm

Normal admission and prices apply but booking is essential.

Three of the centres are also offering young children the chance to learn the art of riding a motorised inflatable jet ski under the watchful eye of trained staff.

The sessions for ages four to 11 years are taking place in Bedale, Stokesley and Thirsk & Sowerby. £6 per session, booking is essential.

And Thirsk & Sowerby Leisure Centre is running crash courses in swimming. They are to introduce non-swimmers to the water or for those that can swim to help improve strokes and techniques.
