Roads in Northallerton remain shut this morning after firefighters dealt with a large fire at an industrial unit in the town.
The fire was at Northallerton Tyre and Battery Company.
Crews from across the area were called in to help tackle the blaze.
The fire was reported at 6.46pm on Wednesday evening.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said there were no injuries but nearby residents and people in the adjacent Asda and M&S stores were evacuated as a precaution.

Forty residents from Priory Close were evacuated to the nearby Friarage Hospital where they remained overnight.
Brompton Road is closed near Asda this morning.
Friarage Street is also shut and access to the Friarage Hospital is restricted, although officials say all surgeries and appointments will go ahead as normal today.
Access to the hospital is via Bullamoor Road.

The Environment Agency was called in to give advice on environmental protection.
Footage of the fire was posted on social media and showed the building’s roof well ablaze.
Local residents reported hearing loud bangs coming from the burning building.
The operation to extinguish the fire was scaled down at 10.10pm, but fire crews remained at the scene overnight to monitor the site.
Firefighters today used a drone to check the building from above.

A North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Fire crews were called at 18:46 to reports of a building on fire on Brompton Road in Northallerton.
“On their arrival crews discovered a building used as a vehicle workshop well alight and requested further fire engines attend. This includes an aerial ladder platform from Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service.
“Other agencies are also in attendance including North Yorkshire Police and North Yorkshire County Council Resilience and Emergencies Unit.
“Nearby properties including Asda and the Marks and Spencer food hall were evacuated as a precaution and a cordon put in place around the incident scene. There are no reports of any injuries.
“Crews are working hard to try and contain the fire and stop it spreading to other buildings. They have ground monitors in use to help tackle the fire.
“Agencies are likely to remain at the scene for some time and we would ask people to avoid the area and not drive past road closed signs.
“Fire crews will remain at the incident overnight to monitor the scene.”
