A FIREWORK caused a garden hedge to catch light on Friday evening.
A fire crew from Huntington in York was called to Shipton-by-Beningbrough near Easingwold at 7.40pm on November 2.
On the firefighters’ arrival, they discovered the occupants had tackled the fire with a garden hose and brought it under control.
The crew inspected the area and concluded the fire was likely to have been caused by a firework.
