SPOOKY and enchanting craft workshops will be taking place in Thirsk this October half-term.
Thirsk Rural Arts will be running family-friendly workshops for Halloween.
On Wednesday, October 31, Charlotte, the café manager, will be leading the first craft session, showing families how to make spooky cupcakes.
On the same day, participants can learn how to make a fairytale puppet from a favourite book or film and will be shown how to bring the puppet to life by adding moving limbs.
Materials for the artwork will be provided.
Both workshops are £4 and will be taking place at The Old Courthouse in Thirsk. Both are suitable for children aged five and over.
Youngsters under the age of eight must be accompanied by an adult, who can join in for free.
On Thursday, November 1, Thirsk Rural Arts will be showing people how to make fun finger puppets at its Three Little Pig Puppets arts session.
At 2pm the same day, the Garlic Theatre will be bringing its production, Three Little Pig Tails to The Old Courthouse. This brand new version of the classic story of the Three Little Pigs is set in Paris, where a grumpy wolf works as a chef, but needs some pigs’ tails for his soup.
The funny and heart-warming tale is ideal for children aged three to eight and involves live music and plenty interaction with the audience.
People can book an under-18 ticket to the Three Little Pig Tails and an October half term arts workshop together for a reduced price of £8.50.
